Temptation

Is temptation something that most can avoid or put away with when they are in a "real" committed relationship?  Why do most try to tempt you to be unfaithful when you are trying to be so so good? The desire to test the waters  from someone else's fountain becomes alluring when one is not happy. What's the answer?
